With my original weekend plans disrupted, I chose to attend the WCCL Round 1 Cyclo-Cross racing event held in Keynsham and organised by ShamXross and is a part of the Western Cyclo-cross League.

While this event was not on my list of events to cover as was already due to cover another national road cycling event taking place but due to change of plans, I decided to attend this event as I did so towards the end of the season last year and thought I’d try and give Cyclo-Cross a try as well as road racing.
